i got a second job. hence why i'm never online anymore. the time i do have to get online is when i get home in the middle of the night, and i am exhausted. i love having a second job, but it is wearing me out physically. ive been putting in over 70 hours/wk the last 2-3 weeks. this week will be much lighter.
down side to having a second job, is that i have no life. officially i guess. not that i had much of one beforehand anyway, but oh well.
i did go on a date with this guy i met online a week ago. i asked him to come with to Howl O Scream tonight, but he is playing the distant game now. Oh well, time to find someone new. He was alright, but for some reason it was just not as easy to talk to him as it is other people i know. (first red flag).
speaking of boys..i tried to ignore gary after he moved back, but then he started calling me a LOT, so then i finally had to start talking to him again, but now its back to him not calling. dammit, everytime i try to ignore him he comes back into my life, cape and all. effing boys...
going to Howl O Scream tonight. we HAD 5-6 people going, and are now down to just me and kat. i HATE when people bail with a shitty excuse. (not you kara, feel better!) its just we have the freakin tix already, so we can't even reschedule.
busy weekend ahead: HOS tonight, work in the a.m., hockey tomorrow night!, then...
Sunday: new tires, oil change, groceries, laundry, dvr catchup, read Eldest.

Yup, thats right! 250 miles west of my apartment was a 6.0 earthquake in the Gulf of Mexico! And I felt it too! At first I thought it was just my roudy neighbor kids, but then i realized that there was no noise. So I ignored it until I saw the news about it at 9pm last night! Freakin sweet... :D
Other news...even though I didn't know anyone that died 5 years ago, I still have plenty of close friends that have been sent overseas. So i'll still say a prayer for them and the people who died.

i get ready to leave for my lunch break, and i look at my car and find a broken baby bird egg smashed on my back window. i have been fine with grosser things, but this made me practically lose my appitite. ugh...
i walk back into the office to ask where the nearest car wash is, and they are like, 'just wipe it off!'. *mouth gaping*. i then preceded to suck it up and wipe most of it off so i'm not driving down the highway with a broken egg on my back window. *gag noise*.
thus, i went to get a car wash, which extended my lunch break longer than i had intended.
in other news, i filled out a match.com profile with a friend of mine. sigh... i am so skeptical when it comes to meeting people online, but i guess you can't talk shit unless you stepped in it.
so i did find a guy on there, so i sent him a 'wink'. i checked it this morning, and it says i have an email from him, but i can't check it because im not a paying subscriber. *rolls eyes*.
so i added another line about emails on my profile, because i am not willing to pay $30 for one month.
anywho...that was embarrassing kinda. yup, im 26, single, living in florida, and don't know anyone. fantastic.
speaking of not knowing anyone, i got a second job. hopefully i can finally make some florida friends and have a life!

i've seen plenty where i don't see the actual exchange, but this was the first time i saw everything. now if i would have called Albertsons/Hollywood Video but i was in my car without any phone numbers. this shopping center sucks. a few weeks ago, i was getting ready to turn onto East Bay Dr from there, and the car in front of me opens the passenger car door a crack and drops a discusting dirty diaper right in front of my car.
speaking of people with no morals...
i was driving home on US19, and it was pooring rain. here stands a young lady on the freakin median of the highway with her newborn baby in an uncovered stroller.
*thunder, thunder*
i took some really neat pictures of the lightning last night, i will have to post a couple up here soon. lightning is really freaking hard to catch with an unexpensive digital camera.
there is a photography class at SPC i have thought about taking. it's only $90, and i'm hoping it would be a good place to meet people. i'm also applying at Kohls for a second job. mostly just to meet people and earn some extra cash. the discount would be freakin cool too, cause i love to shop there. that is one of the very few stores i miss from home.

well unfortunately there isn't that much of a culture shock between Chicago and Tampa...but then again, it has only been 1 day of vacation! hehe

i actually got here at 7am...believe it or not. i don't see the sunrise too often. ;) i came in early because i am giving Andy a ride to the airport, and i have to leave at 130pm. i thought i was going to loose some time this week, but luckily i get to go to the tampa store after, and work on some project with our sales guy. so i'm still technically working until 5pm. yay for me!
techically i will be short this week because of my car. not because i'm giving rides. my damn car's pully crapped out on me, so i had to make 2 trips to the repair shop the last 2 days before work started. thankfully it was not an expensive job. i have to save my money for my wild excursions in chicago next week! mwa ha ha!
i'm so excited to get out of town for a while. and it will be nice to see the rents. 6 months is a long time. and it's been a hell of a lot longer since ive seen Amber! :D
Bernardo's word of the day: Lover = amante
movies movies movies...
went to see Over The Hedge last night. good movie, i was in tears during one part it was so funny. the turtle was really cute, but the squirrel was my favorite character.
i've decided that i really like Pride & Prejudice, i bought the dvd about 2 weeks ago, and have watched it 3 times already. or i guess that could mean i need a life...lol

we actually went to the bar last night! its be so long that my tolerance has taken a nose dive into the negative. so since i drove, instead of having just two, i had just one. ugh. we went to see a local band play and then went to village inn with them. they were good, but not fantastic.
last weekend i went to a friend's party at the piano bar. it was a happy hour party that he won, and the bar was providing food and drink specials. by the time we showed up, it was barly enough time to grab some before they closed. shitty hours. i get my two beers for one dollar, and then right when i turn around to walk over to the food, i see the bitches walk away with it to the kitchen. dammit. at this point, i am sooo freakin hungry already, i haven't had anything to eat since 10am that morning. needless to say i was feelin pretty good after the 2 beers. no food + beer = bad idea.
omg, im watching the top 20 countdown on tv, and i had no idea Bon Jovi sang 'You Cant Go Home'. it sounds country, so i assumed someone country sang it.
time to get ready for church... adios ;)

Went to see Duncan Sheik last night. FABULOUS!! He is even more adorable in person. I don't know if that is the right word...he is humble, a little shy, and of course good looking! I can't even tell you how good of a time I had. I was 2 feet away from him, and got some really great pictures. I am SO glad he let us bring cameras. I would have been devistated. I do have to say that this is the best concert i've been to so far. I was a little tired of standing the whole time, but to just listen to his voice was enough for me. Anyhow, if you EVER get a chance to see him live, DO IT. He did a fantastic job. Here are most of the songs he played:
Barely Breathing
She Runs Away
Home
Genius
Start Again
Good Morning!
Hey Casanova
The Dawn's Request
White Limousine
Nothing Fades
